Some Portland updates

From: (Letterboxr@aol.com) | Date: 2001-05-07 14:46:54 UTC-04:00
Der Mad Stamper has placed another letterbox in Portland, OR. Located near
the world-famous Japanese Garden, I believe this is the first box in the
Washington Park area. There is plenty of room for about a hundred more boxes
in this park, but we've got to start somewhere...

Also, I promised Gary (when we met at the Northwest Letterboxing Summit) that
I would check on the Cedar Hills Twins #1 box.... it's still there, Gary --
I suspect your fingers were just inches away from it. Better luck next
time!!!

Doah! I was going to hide the first letterbox in the Washington Park area
in another week or so! *grumbling* I even create the stamp for it already.
I just had to go out and hide it.

Well, I'm sure the stamp won't mind the company of your letterbox *too*
much. =)

Hi
I will try again--my wife has always said how unobservant I am. I
didn't do any better at 3 tree stumps at PCC Sylvania.

YIPPEE!!!

Der Mad Stamper is at it again, much to the delight of those of us in
Portland!!! I really need to get out and nab some of these boxes. This
one has handy clues, so maybe I'll try for it this weekend. Great job,
Mitch!!!

Best regards,

Amanda Briles

Hey Ryan!

Go ahead and place your letterbox in Washington Park and post the clues.
The more the merrier! It's a big park and I'd love to find your
letterbox!

Best regards,

Sorry, Ryan... but you've got to move fast to keep ahead of Der Mad
Stamper!! After all, we can't very well find that stamp of yours as
long as you keep carrying it around in your pocket ;-)

Now, when you go out to hide yours, you can look for mine while your
at it! Hey, maybe we can talk Amanda into hiding one while she's up
there, too. The only way to slow Der Mad Stamper down is to give him
lots of letterboxes to LOOK FOR!!!
